She went in for the PET scan at 3pm. Then the IR doctor will go in for a biopsy if there is a site that looks to have active cells. He may have already gone in as I’m writing this post.
We’re waiting. Lots of waiting in this process. Lots of stops and starts in this process. Again, of course they want to be sure of the diagnosis and eliminate what they think it’s not. But since this began, it’s a sprint to get tests and procedures done, then sometimes followed by a lull, then another sprint. The lulls are appreciated but only a temporary respite, and not one you can ever get too comfortable in because reality hits.
The anxiety really can take your breath away sometimes just because you’re hanging on every word.
