The past month we’ve been helped by a handful of organizations, providing answers and resources to some of our initial questions. To be honest, without these groups, we would be wading in a murky bog of unanswered questions, fear and a world of disarray. As we continue to be advocates for Samar, and as we learn more about organizations that help families deal with pediatric cancer, we will list them on this page. As our knowledge grows, so will this page of resources.
Unravel Pediatric Cancer
Libby Kranz, founder of Unravel Pediatric Cancer, has been an immeasurable help the first few weeks, as we learned about Samar’s initial biopsies, and final diagnosis. Libby created the foundation, Unravel Pediatric Cancer, in honor of her daughter, Jennifer Lynn, Kranz, who had passed away from a very rare type of cancer. Libby has been an advocate for pediatric cancer ever since. Her organization is dedicated to funding research for pediatric cancer, and bringing awareness to the cause.
The Young and Brave Foundation
The Young and Brave Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids and their families deal with the hardships of pediatric cancer. They are dedicated in fundraising and other events to build awareness around pediatric cancer. It is a great place to learn more about the many warriors, they support. They’ve created a community of warriors, families and advocates, to fight cancer along side those that shouldn’t fight alone.
This is also the place where we have set up Samar’s donation page. The foundation gives 100% of the proceeds to the families in need, and does not take away from the funds like gofundme or others.
